Jennings confirmed his release with the Chicago Tribune, saying his age was a factor in his release.

Jennings signed a four-year, $22.4 million extension in January. His $4.4 million base salary in 2015 is guaranteed.

Jennings led the NFL with nine interceptions in 2012, tied for second-most in a season in Bears history.
