He got his first cap barely an hour ago, was beaten away badly for three boundaries in an over, but then, the lightning struck. The entire Chinnaswamy stadium stood on its feet for this youngster – Jasprit Bumrah.
Have you noticed the commitment on the face? The dedication to the game? The unorthodox style of bowling? The early beating did not leave any mark on his nerves. Rather, he took it like old time warriors to go all out with his entire strength – on the hardcore principles of fighting it out – Fighting it all out.
Like countless ardent supporters and fans of cricket – more so IPL, my heart goes out to Jasprit, not barely on the fact that he bowled so well on his debut, but also the way he carried himself. Though he was helped by a bit of timely advise from “God of cricket” himself. But due to his performances, he also got the acclaim of “God of bollywood” on social media! This landmark achievement speaks volumes of the mettle of this lad, his fighting spirit, body language, and his maturity which seems remarkable at an age of 19.
It does not happen everyday that a newcomer shows this kind of spirit and times his performance so perfectly, just as the whole world is watching. He has also shown tremendous fighting spirit and dedication. Such results can surely not be coincidence, and indicate rigorous net practice.
Some of my friends might find it too early to assess his skills, but I genuinely believe that this is not sheer luck, and greener pastures await. To have a chance to bowl at the monster Chris Gayle, and come out without much damage, speaks of the ability of this youngster.
Somehow, it appears he is highly skilled, and I can see many big things coming his way, including big wickets, big coverage, big fan following, and big bucks!
